This was an animation test for a friend’s project. It’s only short but then it’s hand drawn animation. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried that but it bleeds you of time and energy.

 

Charlotte Carpenter – Love Songs

Again another brilliantly catchy song. I was production designer for this. I had two days before the shoot to create the paintings for the video and then had to build the sets during the shoot. The atmosphere was amazing and I absolutely loved working on this.

 

Midnight Mile – Timber! Timber!

Such a catchy song. I was given about a week to make the props for the film – one of which was a scarecrow, and I had to ensure that I had enough materials to create it twice. It turned out fine, was just a bit of a rush as Lex Wins had come over that week to work on some music for an EP.

A short documentary about musician Charlotte Carpenter that I was involved in making (I helped out the sound guy! That still counts)

I worked on this as a production designer. The script was brilliant as were the crew and cast.

 

Fancy Dress Hero

A short I made in my second year of uni. Basically just a good excuse to get my mate dressed up like a ridiculous costume in public.

Surviving Animation

Weird little thing I put together in my first year of uni. I mean it starts off pretty normal but I don’t know where I was really going with the ending. Also I never drink coffee.

Combat Fighter

Yeah that’s right, instead of playing beat ‘em ups the Blame Engineers (Thunder-Boots & Lex Wins) animated their own versions. Still don’t get why I had to lose though.

My final piece from college (that’s like 4 years ago now!!!!!) I was doing a lot of experimenting with sampling and collage in both sound and music.
